Bible Research and Exploration For thousands of years the Holy Bible has been respected as a historically accurate document. It has been regarded as the faithful account of God's attempt to reestablish a loving relationship with mankind. It is only in the last few generations that the veracity of the Scriptures has come into serious question. BASE exists to reaffirm the Bible as our reliable message of hope from God to mankind. We acknowledge it as our reliable standard of truth. Using the Bible and other historic sources, coupled with scholarly research supported by archaeological evidence, BASE endeavors to dispel the notion that the Bible is a collection of fables and legend. Though many Bible details obviously cannot be proven categorically, BASE research and expeditions demonstrate that having faith in the God of the Bible is not paramount to committing intellectual suicide. Rather, it is the only reasonable conclusion for those willing to investigate the truth of the Bible with an open mind. Bible Research Opportunities BASE depends primarily on the efforts of volunteers to accomplish Bible and historic document research. An Advisory Council exists for each category to set direction, coordinate efforts and evaluate the findings of these informal working groups.
