With the inclusion of Doug Gresham, step-son of C.S. Lewis, Living Passages has decided to lead up to the Bob Cornuke reception during the July 2012 Malta Christian cruise with something for the whole family.

As an added bonus, we will be showing the Narnia series on deck under the stars, starting with the first movie “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,” and ending with the most recent 2010 release, “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.”

One movie will be shown each night prior to the reception with Gresham and Cornuke, where they will discuss the history of Malta and the discovery of the anchors of Paul’s ship which ran aground off the coast of Malta.

Gresham has lived on Malta for the last four years and was co-producer for the theatrical adaptations of the Chronicles of Narnia and the Screwtape Letters.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the series as it is projected onto a large, white mast under the night sky on the Mediterranean Sea. Movie theaters, eat your heart out.

Doug Gresham, step-son of C.S. Lewis, author of the Narnia series, has agreed to visit us on board our ship during the upcoming July 2012 Malta Christian cruise.

Gresham will visit us for a reception during the trip on July 23rd. The topic of discussion will center on the fascinating history of Malta. Gresham will also speak alongside the divers and their families who assisted Bob Cornuke of the BASE Institute in their discovery of the anchors of Paul’s shipwreck, as outlined in Acts 27 and 28.

The four anchors, found off the coast of St. Thomas Bay, were discovered by Cornuke after using the Bible as a geographical tool to estimate the location. Luke recorded the incident of the shipwreck as he observed it from the shores of Turkey and Malta and the book of Acts logs the event in great detail.

The inclusion of Doug Gresham in the discussion is an amazing experience unique to this trip alone. For those of you who have already reserved your place on board the ship, consider this an added bonus. If you would like to book the Malta cruise for you or a loved one, know that the addition of this guest speaker does not change the going rate for the cruise package.

This bible study tour is guided by two people well-versed in Paul’s life. Frank Turek of Cross Examined and Bob Cornuke of B.A.S.E. Institute will lead guests on a Mediterranean Christian cruise for 11 days in July 2012.

The tour kicks off in Turkey, providing travelers the opportunity to tour Istanbul and the surrounding area with their family before boarding the ship on July 18.

Guests will travel on the luxurious Regatta, a smaller ship that allows guests to engage in fellowship easily with others who wish to learn more about the teachings and life of Paul. Cruise packages start at $3,197 per person sharing a quad room or $3,695 per person sharing a double room. Prices include the cost of airfare, meals, transfers as well as all biblical tours and teachings.

A 3-day extension is also available for an additional cost of $649. This small add-on allows guests to tour areas of Rome at the end of the cruise. Take time to see additional sites traveled by Paul, Priscilla and Aquila, such as the Roman aquaducts that stood the test of time, Mamertime Museum and the Coliseum. This extension also includes a tour of the Vatican and its museums.

I hope you are considering joining us on this amazing cruise to Italy, Greece, Turkey and Malta. This Bible-based vacation is more than an ordinary Mediterranean cruise! You will have our teachers and hosts, Bob Cornuke and Frank Turek, fabulous praise and worship each evening, stimulating Biblical discussions and camaraderie with other Bible believing vacationers.

Frank Turek of CrossExamined.org and Bob Cornuke of B.A.S.E. Institute invite you to join them on a memorable journey that incorporates the Apostle Paul’s journeys, the routes of the early church and a sailing that visits the best of Southern Italy! You will visit Malta, Rome, Pompeii, Ephesus, Athens, Corinth, Santorini, Istanbul and the Italian island gems of Capri, Sicily and Sardinia, wow! While on the island of Malta, you will take part in a celebration of the discovery of the Apostle Paul’s anchors. These anchors are discussed in the book of Acts of the New Testament. Our day, spent with divers and dignitaries who assisted in this recovery, will include the many sites of this precious island nation and an exclusive event.

We cross the most ancient of seas as our cruise begins on the Sea of Marmara, moves into the Aegean Sea, into the Ionian Sea, the Mediterranean Sea and, finally, into Italy’s Tyrrahenian Sea. Our 10-day, luxury Bible study vacation begins in Istanbul and ends in Rome – the Eternal City.

Our ship, the Regatta, only holds 684 passengers. This small size allows us the intimacy to avoid lines, visit smaller ports of call and have poolside devotionals and praise and worship. You will be able to select your cabin, based on price and amenities. You will have a choice of cabins that includes an inside, outside, balcony or verandah cabin and suites. Our lovely ship also has concierge services provided on certain cabin categories. Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to reserve a private cabana for our luxurious days at sea, enjoy the Mediterranean tapas bar under the stars in the evening, or enjoy some pampering at Canyon Ranch’s exclusive onboard spa.
